We accept online payments using major debit and credit cards, including Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, American Express (UK & North America stores only) and PayPal.

Please do not email us your debit or credit card information. We cannot be held responsible for any loss that might occur if you include card information in an email.

Prices shown on the UK and Europe stores include VAT. We are required by law to collect VAT on all orders to the UK and other countries in the European Union. Any product that is shipped outside of the UK or the European Union is usually not subject to a VAT charge. Where applicable, VAT is included at the standard rate of 20% and is always shown separately on your invoice. Where applicable, based on the delivery country of your purchase, VAT is automatically excluded from your order. If you are in any way uncertain about the possible VAT implications of your purchase, please contact us before placing your order. Unfortunately, we are not currently able to exclude VAT for online purchases made by EU VAT-registered buyers, but our invoices will disclose VAT separately.

Prices shown on the North America store exclude taxes. We are required by law to charge tax on shipments made to NY and CA. If you are in any way uncertain about the possible tax implications of your purchase, please contact us before placing your order at infousa@knomo.com

Prices shown on the Rest of World store exclude tax. We are not required to charge VAT or Sales Tax on purchases from this store. However, you may be required to pay taxes or other charges locally as a result of the product being imported to your country. Please review the notes below on Import Duty and Customs.

For deliveries outside of the UK, the European Union and the USA, you may be required to pay import duty, custom charges or other local taxes or administration fees. This includes destinations such as Norway, Switzerland, Canada and many others. Customs policies vary widely from country to country so please contact your local customs office for further information. Please note that the payment of any import duties, customs charges, local taxes or any administration charges paid to couriers in relation to these fees, is for your own account. Knomo cannot be held responsible for the payment of any of the abovementioned charges.

Knomo uses Shopify Payments. All transaction information passed between Knomo and Shopify Payments are encrypted.

You can feel secure in the knowledge that nothing you pass to Shopify Payments can be examined, used or modified by third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information. Your details are not disclosed to any third parties without your consent.

Please note that due to distribution limits, some stores may not offer the same products as others. Unfortunately, it is not possible to sell products across other stores.

Unless otherwise stated, Voucher Codes cannot be used more than once and cannot be redeemed in conjunction with any other offer. Unfortunately, once an order has been confirmed, we cannot make any changes to the order or apply any discount codes.

We partner with Global-e and DHL for international purchases, allowing you to shop in your local currency, check out in one of 16 languages, and pay for duties and taxes upfront. See the Territory table for more information on delivery. Please note - purchases made by non-UK customers will appear on bank statements as Global-e. See here for more.

You can return your KNOMO product within 30 days of receiving your original order for full priced items, or 14 days for sale or discounted items.

The item must be unused and in its original condition and packaging.


Standard delivery is FREE on all UK orders.

We deliver all items Monday to Friday, 9.00am-6.00pm (although some of our carriers may deliver slightly earlier or later). We do not deliver during weekends and public holidays All our items are posted via courier within 2-5 working days.

Please note, if using the DPD collect option, order dimensions must not exceed 60 x 60 x 60 cm (or one KNOMO bag).

Products may be sent out from multiple locations and therefore may arrive separately, but you won't incur additional delivery charges as a result.

We can't guarantee delivery within our usual timescales to a small number of remote rural areas.

Sorry, but we don't deliver to BFPO or PO Box addresses

Please note that we reserve the right not to deliver an order if we believe the address is not secure, for example to a communal postal address. If this affects an order you place, we'll notify you as soon as possible

On rare occasions, some items may be delivered outside the published timed windows.

Delivery Charges vary by country and are calculated and displayed during the checkout process prior to payment.

Transit times

Transit times are always given in working days, and can be subject to customs delays. For international orders we use DHL Express who give complete peace of mind with their tracked service. Please provide your mobile number when prompted at the checkout, as this will ensure that you receive delivery information and additional options via SMS as well as email.

Taxes

Please be aware international deliveries may be subject to customs duties or taxes once the order reaches the destination country. You are now able to pay for these charges upfront at the checkout, via our partner Global-e. Sir Plus has no control over any delays or charges and cannot predict if these might occur. Any charges must be paid by yourself; please check the email address you used to place your order, as customs normally contact you this way if necessary.

THE KNOMO GUARANTEE

All KNOMO BAGS are guaranteed for two years after purchase. ALL ACCESSORIES (phone cases, tablet covers, organisers, laptop sleeves and batteries) are guaranteed for one year.

If you find a fault with your product within these periods, we offer a free repair and warranty services.

Please see our Repairs Section for more information.


Warranty

KNOMO guarantees the original purchaser that products are free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty is limited to the value of the Knomo product and is available to the original purchaser of the goods only. A proof of purchase is required. The warranty is not renewed after repair or replacement. The warranty does not cover any damage caused by misuse or neglect, accidents, normal wear and tear, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids, water, or damage by common carrying. The warranty specifically excludes any claims for incidental or consequential damages in connection with the product. The warranty commences on the day of purchase (NOT the date that the product is registered on the www.uk.knomo.com website) the warranty is NOT renewed upon repair or replacement of the product. Any defects in materials or workmanship notified to us after expiry of the guarantee period are not covered by this warranty. We are happy to help you try to repair any defects, but these repairs would be subject to charge.

These terms apply to the purchase of Knomo products made using the www.uk.knomo.com website.

For items purchased from other retailers you will need to contact the retailer directly for more information regarding their policy. Additionally, please check out our Store Locator for retail partner contact information.

Repairs & Warranty Claims

Limitation of Liability

Knomo bags and covers do not guarantee protection of devices (phones, laptops, tablets) from drops, accidents, misuse or improper care.

In no event shall KNOMO or its suppliers be liable to you or any third party for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the use of the product, including, without limitation, property damage, loss of value of the product or any third-party products that are used in or with the product, even if KNOMO has been advised of the possibility of such damages. KNOMO has no liability for any damage or destruction to consumer electronics devices or other personal property that are in or connected to the products, including, without limitation, laptops, tablets, smartphones, or other devices, or any loss of data contained in the foregoing devices. Notwithstanding any damages that you might incur for any reason whatsoever (including, without limitation, all damages referenced herein and all direct or general damages in contract, the entire liability of KNOMO and any of its suppliers shall be limited to the amount actually paid by you for the product. Some territories do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

We are (as are most people of our generation) very concerned about global warming and the impact of our busy lives on climate. However, we don’t believe that the solution is to stop moving. We feel that the world is a much better place when filled with citizens who understand and tolerate other cultures. And it is only by travelling (and watching TV!) that we start to engender a curiosity and tolerance for other cultures.

A well-made bag made with high quality raw materials will last a long time:

we believe that by investing in a Knomo that is made out of high quality and durable materials, you will be committing to a long-term relationship that is likely to be far more environmentally responsible than countless short flings with cheap wannabees

Suppliers: as a small company, we don’t have a sophisticated code of conduct, but we do have a personal relationship with all our suppliers. Our team spend a great deal of time in the factories and so we get to know them personally. All these partners treat their employees with dignity and fairness and are committed to their health and welfare.

Raw materials: Knomo uses only premium leathers sourced from tanneries around the world. We have chosen these particular leathers because of their superior quality, rich and vibrant colours and the unique and individual properties of each hide.

Quality control & guarantee: our team does 100% quality control checks on all production to ensure that faults are kept to a minimum. Less than one out of every 100 Knomo bags conceived of, requires any subsequent rehab. All Knomo’s are guaranteed until their second birthday.

RETURNS & WARRANTY REQUESTS

For all returns and any repairs, you are required to cover the cost of the return delivery to our offices. However, if we are replacing an item due to a fault or incorrect delivery, we will pay for the item to be returned to you.

For your own security, we recommend using a recorded delivery service when sending goods to us. Please note that returned product will not be accepted unless accompanied by a copy of your receipt of purchase. You are very welcome to hand deliver your return back to the KNOMO Head Office (83 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 7LS. Monday–Friday, 9am-6pm only, excluding bank holidays).

If you purchased your Knomo from a retail store or another online retailer, and would like to return it for a refund or exchange it, please contact the reseller directly. We are not able to provide refunds or exchanges for products purchased from other retailers.


Refunds

When we receive and accept your return we will refund the credit card that was used for payment of your original order. This typically takes 5 working days in the UK, dependent on your bank/card issuer. Refunds will cover cost of your original purchase, excluding delivery charges. Once your return has been processed you will receive a refund confirmation email.

Repairs & Warranty Claims

If you feel your KNOMO product has developed a fault, please get in touch with us by email at info@knomo.com. Please provide a photo of the fault and your proof of purchase.

If after inspecting your KNOMO product, we are satisfied it is defective in materials or workmanship, we will repair the product at our expense and return it to you free of charge. This is subject to our product warranty. The return of the repair is customer’s responsibility until it reaches KNOMO.

If we are unable to repair your KNOMO, we reserve the right to replace it with the same or similar product.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Knomo E-Gift Card is available in values ranging from £10 to £500 and is sent via email.

Please note the Knomo E-Gift Card is currently only available in the UK and can only be redeemed online.

How long is my Knomo E-Gift Card valid for?

The Knomo E-Gift Card is valid for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. If the Knomo E-Gift Card is not used for a period of 2 consecutive years, the E-Gift Card will automatically expire at the end of that period and the balance on the E-Gift Card will be forfeited.

Can the Knomo E-Gift Card be used more than once?

Yes, the Knomo E-Gift Card can be used in multiple transactions until the total balance of the E-Gift Card has been used up. It may be used as a complete or partial transaction. If a purchase exceeds the Knomo E-Gift Card value, the remaining amount must be paid with another method of payment at checkout.

How do I find out how much is on my Knomo E-Gift Card?

If you have a customer account with us, you can check the balance by using the link provided in the E-Gift Card email.

If you don’t have a customer account, please contact us at info@knomo.com and we will be happy to check the balance for you.

I am having trouble redeeming a Knomo E-Gift Card

The Knomo E-Gift Card can only be redeemed on a Knomo website operating in the same currency as that of the website where the E-Gift Card was originally purchased. For example, a £100 E-Gift Card can only be spent on the UK website. The Knomo E-Gift Card is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card.

Can I use a discount code and a Knomo E-Gift Card at the same time?

Yes, although you cannot use a discount code when purchasing a Knomo E-Gift Card.

Can I return online purchases I've made with my Knomo E-Gift Card?

Yes, any item that has been purchased using a Knomo E-Gift Card can be returned. The refunded amount will be placed on the E-Gift Card used for the purchase. Any item purchased using a Knomo E-Gift Card cannot be returned or refunded for cash and cannot be used to purchase other E-Gift Cards.

BAGS are covered for two years; smaller ACCESSORIES (phone cases, tablet covers, organisers, laptop sleeves and batteries) are covered for one year.

If your order has not arrived by the estimated delivery date, we’re here to help. Before getting in contact with us, please try the following: Once your item has been dispatched, you will receive an email highlighting the chosen courier and a tracking number. Visit the courier’s website to track the status of your order.

Your package may already be awaiting pick-up at your closest depot, with a neighbour or still with the courier. Check if you have received a message, e-mail or delivery card from the courier. If you were not available at the time of delivery you may need to re-schedule with the courier. Please check your spam folder if you have not received an email.

If you cannot locate your package or have not received a tracking number yet, please contact us at info@knomo.com.

Yes, once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an e-mail with a tracking number which allows you to track your package on the courier’s website. I haven't received an order confirmation. If you have not received your order confirmation from us please check your spam folder, otherwise please contact us at: info@knomo.com and we will be happy to help.

We aim to process orders as quickly as possible through our warehouse, so unfortunately, we are not able to cancel your order once it has been placed. If you have any queries please contact us at info@knomo.com and we will try to help.

You can always return any unwanted items for a refund once you have received your order. Please see our Returns Policy

Please note that we take payment as soon as you have placed your order. It can sometimes take up to 7 business days for us to receive your return, depending on which postal service you use. Once we receive the item(s) we will inspect and process the goods within 10 business days. You will receive a refund notification as soon as the item has arrived with us and has been processed. When your refund has been processed it can take the card provider 3 to 5 business days to credit your account.

Common issues include:

Typing the code incorrectly (try using copy and paste).

Trying to use the code on an ineligible product, including if the code you are using requires a specific minimum spend.

Using a one-time code that you have already used. Many codes are limited to one per customer. If you are still having trouble with your discount code, please contact us at: info@knomo.com

Delivery charges are added to your order and calculated at checkout.

For Deliveries outside of the UK, European Union and USA, you may be required to pay import duty, custom charges or other local taxes. You may be required to pay these when you accept delivery of the items from your courier. As we want to ensure your parcel reaches you safely all items are sent via courier and will require a signature on delivery. You can ship to a different address (for example work) to ensure somewhere is there to sign.

Items can be returned within 30 days of your parcel being shipped to you, for full-priced items, or 14 days for sale or discounted items. All products must be in perfect condition and in its original packaging.

Please note, you are required to cover the costs of returning the goods to us. In case of faulty goods or incorrect delivery, we will assume all postal charges and replace or refund your item. Knomo E-Giftcard

The Knomo E-Giftcard can only be redeemed online and cannot be redeemed in store at official Knomo stores, any Knomo concessions, 3rd party retailers or on 3rd party websites.

The minimum amount to purchase the Knomo E-Giftcard is £10 and the maximum amount that can be on a card is £500.

The Knomo E-Giftcard is valid on full price and sale items.

The Knomo E-Giftcard is valid for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase. If the Knomo E-Giftcard is not used for a period of 24 consecutive months, the E-Giftcard will automatically expire at the end of that period and the balance on the E-Giftcard will be forfeited. No fees for inactivity apply to the Knomo E-Giftcard.

The Knomo E-Giftcard can only be redeemed on a Knomo website operating in the same currency as that of the website where the E-Giftcard was originally purchased. The Knomo E-Giftcard is not a cheque guarantee, credit or charge card.

I.  What personal information we collect and how we use it

When you register for an account with us, place an order, interact with our digital content on your computer or mobile device or send us an enquiry, we will collect certain information from you. 1.      Online Shopping

1.1   Order process

If you place an order on our website, we will use your name, addresses and payment details to process and deliver your order, and to notify you of the status of your order.

We will also use your personal information to assess your creditworthiness and to prevent fraud. For this purpose, we may need to share your personal information with our credit rating providers. This is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests in ensuring we are not the victim of fraud and to protect our legal rights set out in the Terms and Conditions.

1.1   Customer account

If you sign up for an account, we will ask for your name, e-mail address and password. We will also collect the following information when you sign up for an account if you choose to provide it: gender, birth of date, and telephone number.

Your online customer account enables you to access, amend or update information regarding the personal data stored about you or to opt out of receiving Knomo newsletters. You can also register your Knomo ID (please see 3. Knomo ID product registration).

Please note that if you create a customer account, we may send you email communications about your account, recent purchases, products placed in your cart or in your wishlist without completing the checkout process.

2.      Customer support

If you contact our Customer Service Team by email or phone, our Customer Service consultants may collect your personal information and use this information to identify you as a customer, help with your query, process your order, deliver products and services, process payments, update our records and to generally manage your account with us under our terms with you.

If you contact our Customer Service team by live chat from our website, you have the option to fill out name and email address in order to enable us to recontact you at a later date and for personalisation purposes. Please note that chat transcripts are recorded and will be retained for an unlimited time. If you provide your email address, you can request a transcript of your live chat session.

3.      Knomo ID product registration

The Knomo ID is a tag inside the bag with a unique ID number that relates to that bag. If lost, the finder can easily contact us with your unique code, and we will retrieve your Knomo and return it to you free of charge.

In order to register your Knomo ID, you will need to create a customer account where we will ask for your name, email address and password.

4.      Knomo Marketing

Knomo will never sell your personal information and only share it with external businesses as outlined in the section II. Who we share your personal information with or with your explicit prior consent for them to contact you for marketing purposes.

4.1   Knomo Newsletter

We can only send you Knomo newsletters with your consent. If you have provided your consent, we will send you Knomo newsletters by email and you can withdraw your consent at any time (see "Unsubscribe from Knomo updates" below).

If you choose to register to receive Knomo newsletters, we collect your email address (mandatory) and gender (voluntary). When registering for the newsletter, we also record the country / website association via which you subscribe to the newsletter.

Unsubscribe from Knomo updates:

You can stop receiving Knomo newsletters from us at any time:

  • Through your account settings
  • By clicking the unsubscribe link which is included on all email newsletters

Knomo will stop sending updates in respect of which you withdraw your consent within a reasonable period and in any event within 7 days of receiving your request, in order to allow sufficient time for the change to be administered.

Please note that if you opt out of receiving Knomo newsletters, we may still send you non-marketing communications such as emails about your account or purchases you have made from the website.

Opting out of receiving Knomo newsletter won’t delete any data, however you can ask for your personal information to be deleted (please see III. Your rights in relation to your personal information).

4.2   Knomo Surveys & Competitions

You may also have the opportunity to take part in competitions or other campaigns conducted by us. Where you are required to provide your personal data (e.g. your name, e-mail address, postal address, etc.) for the purpose of taking part in such competitions or campaigns, we will only use this data for the purposes of conducting the contest or other campaign and only in compliance with the applicable terms and conditions. If you have expressly consented to being sent newsletters, we will send newsletters to you as described in section 4.1. Neither your participation in a competition nor your chances of winning will be affected should you not consent to receiving newsletters or should you revoke your consent at a later time.

 

II. Who we share your personal information with

Knomo do not, and will not, sell any of your personal data to any third party.

In order for you to fully utilise the website and for us to be able to fulfil your order, we do need to share certain data with service providers and other trusted third-party providers.

1.      Service providers

We may share your personal data with companies we have chosen to handle our order payment and dispatch service and with other companies that provide support services to us, including website hosting companies, marketing service providers and website analysis service providers.

1.1   Delivery companies:

We work with external delivery companies such as Hermes, DPD, UPS, Interpost and DHL to deliver orders. These shipping companies receive the following data to deliver your order and to be able to contact you with tracking information as well as on the delivery date if necessary:

  • Your name;
  • your delivery address;
  • your email address;
  • your phone numbers

1.2   Payment providers and credit checks

We work with external payment providers such as Klarna, SagePay and Paypal to process your order. These service providers receive the following data to help you complete your purchase and to prevent fraud and meet legal requirements:

  • Your name;
  • your billing address;
  • your delivery address (if different);
  • your email address;
  • your phone numbers
  • your date of birth (if you choose to provide it)

2.      Authorities and law enforcement

Knomo may also be required to forward certain personal data to third parties in cases where this is required by law or under the legislation. Such parties may include legal and law enforcement, courts, government authorities if required to comply with the law or for legal protection of our or our customers’ legitimate interests in compliance with applicable laws.

3.      International transfers of personal data

The personal information that you provide through the Website is processed in Ireland by Shopify International Ltd. and is stored on servers in the United States of America.

We will make sure that any transfers of your personal information from one country to another comply with those data protection and privacy laws which apply to us. European data protection laws, in particular, include specific rules on transferring personal information outside the EEA.

When transferring personal information outside the EEA, we will:

  • include standard data protection clauses approved by the European Commission for transferring personal information outside the EEA into our contracts with those third parties (these are the clauses approved under Article 46.2 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)); or
